How It Works
INVEST IN YOUR HEALTH
In the EPA’s new handbook Pollution Prevention, Practices for Nail Salons they describe the chemicals used by nail technicians and the potential health risks. Chemicals such as solvents, hardeners, fragrances and drying/curing agents may be hazardous to workers as well as customers. Many of the chemicals will evaporate into the air where nail technicians and customers breathe them in, along with the dust from artificial nail filings. In their Best Shop Practices section, they recommend installing a local exhaust/ventilation system and one or a combination of the following:
Ventilated table with dust and
charcoal filters
Ceiling-mounted exhaust vent
Wall-mounted exhaust vent
The Better Lifestyle Inc. VaporEscape™ design combines all of the EPA elements and eliminates the need for masks as well. In most cases, your electrician can perform installation of the system in less than three hours. It can be routed through the ceiling, an outside wall, floor, attic space, utility room, basement or any number of options.
What better way to invest in your health as a nail technician, as well as a safer and healthier environment for your client.
